Tour 3 – Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin

Map Tour 3Day 1: Arrival in Amsterdam, transfer & check-in to your centrally located hostel or multi-bedded hotel in the city. Get a first impression of this beautiful city during a canal cruise on the famous “Grachten”. Enjoy Amsterdam from the waterside and experience the special flair of the city.

Day 2: A guided bike tour through the bicycle capital of the world Amsterdamwill teach you interesting facts about the city’s history and its culture. A small hint from our side: always keep one finger on the bike bell. In the afternoon you are invited to discover the city on your own. Walk along the canals and over more than 100 bridges, through various flower and street markets and feel the international vibes of Amsterdam.

Day 3: She’s world famous and her story is unutterably sad. While visiting the Anne Frank house you’ll get to know her history, learn more about the building she was hiding, her diary and the main people involved. A touching story. At the Amsterdam Museum you’ll experience all about Amsterdam: then, now and in the future. The guided tour Amsterdam DNA offers a fascinating and concise overview of the history of Amsterdam: from paintings from the Golden Age to the Red-Light District, Ajax and Johan Cruyff.

HamburgDay 4: You are leaving the Netherlands and will travel further to Hamburg. After your arrival in the city a maritime harbor boat tour on the Elbe between the warehouse district and the Port of Hamburg awaits you. In the evening we recommend a walk along the impressive Landungsbrücken.

Day 5: Hamburg's history is marked by the Hanseatic League, by trading and by ships. On a guided walking tour through the Speicherstadt you will learn interesting details about this "warehouse district" and its diverse range. Afterwards you’ll visit the newly built, modern landmark of the city: the Elbphilharmonie Plaza. Admire the cutting-edge architecture and enjoy the impressive view from the building over the Hamburg harbor. You are leaving for Berlin in the afternoon.

Day 6: On the historical walking tour “Discover Berlin” you’ll see major sights like Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Museum Island, New Synagogue, Red Town Hall and many more. Get a first impression of the German capital and enjoy its various shopping opportunities in the afternoon.

Day 7: Excursion to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial. Stories of individual fates are woven together to tell the history of the political persecution of inmates in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp on a guided tour.

Day 8: The Museum Island Berlin, belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage with its world-renowned museums, is Berlinyour first stop today. Visit the Pergamon Museum which houses three collections and presents impressive reconstructions of massive archaeological structures such as the Market Gate of Miletus, the Ishtar Gate and Processional Way from Babylon. A highlight in the evening will make your tour an unforgettable one: enjoy the Grand Show at Friedrichstadt Palast, home to the biggest theater stage in the world.

Day 9: Today you’ll visit the Spy Museum which shows the world of the secret services from the first cipher to Edward Snowden. Discover the methods of the agents and get to know their special tools. Young spies can test themselves in the laser course.
At the Topography of Terror Documentation Center, a guided tour will inform you about the most significant establishments of the persecution and terror apparatus operated by the Nazis as well as their crimes. During the "Third Reich" the headquarters of the Secret State Police, the SS and the Reich Security Main Office were located at the site.

Day 10: It’s time to say goodbye: enjoy your last breakfast in the city. Check-out and transfer
